Bottomhole hydraulic props of GVKU and GKU types

1. Product purpose

1.1. Ст GKU and GVKU coalface support props of reinforced series are designed to support the stall of mine rooms in seams with inclination of 35 degrees and extracting thickness of 1,82-3,41m.

1.2. Two types of props are manufactured: GVKU - with external power supply and GKU - individual of five standard sizes (13GKU30 - 17GKU30 and 13GVKU30 - 17GVKU30), differ in height of cylinder and shaft with a nominal yielding load of 300 kN.

2. Mining conditions of product

2.1. Prop can be applied in mines with a category for methane hazard including extreme explosion hazard level mine, with secure and mid-secure rock of immediate mine roof, including the insecure rock (with application of back lath), with a relative humidity of mine air up to 100%.

2.2. The prop can be used in any mining method that enables application of fully-mechanized shearer mining, ploughing or other winning machines and at any roof control method that involves withdrawing of support from face caving.

2.3. In some cases, the prop can be used to support insecure rocks. In this case, it is necessary to use a special enlarged props, and with a weak top to make a back lathing.

2.4. The most efficiently prop can be used with:

1) steel girders in combination with shortwall mining machine and snaking conveyers;

2) in combination with waste-edge chock of fixed resistance.

2.5. The scheme of face support and the roof control method must prevent the hard blows of rockfall that are perpendicular to the axis of prop.

2.6. It is not recommended to apply the prop in the coalfaces with hydraulic winning and hydraulic filling.

2.7. Only non-flammable liquids and mixtures must be used as a hydraulic fluid in the props.
